Text description provided by the architects. Between the thick walls of an old mountain ranch house, we designed a weekend home program surrounded by a river and mountains. We envisioned building a flexible program under a large sloped roof that responds to new needs, coexisting with the inherited structure and the outdoors—an exercise in designing over the built to preserve the essence and propose the new.
