Text description provided by the architects. Located within a neighborhood-scale context in San Isidro, where nature predominates, Magnolia House is integrated into the site, coexisting with the pre-existing surroundings. Situated on a plot adjacent to an old colonial-style mansion, the project is characterized by the treatment of its white brick exterior envelope, which adapts to the different living requirements of the home through the play of its pattern. Thanks to these solids and voids, this enclosure sometimes acts as a screen to control the morning light in the staircase core, while elsewhere, the pattern provides privacy to the service area, allowing light and ventilation to enter.
