In the Colombian Amazon, forty-five minutes from Florencia, Caquetá, lies the municipality of San José del Fragua—a landscape of exuberant biodiversity, abundant water sources, and vibrant greens. This setting characterizes the tropics, where ambiguities surface. This region of Colombia is a pivotal node in the armed conflict between guerrilla organizations, drug trafficking, paramilitaries, and state armed forces: life and war in their maximum expression.
